Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Even though embarking on their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Missing star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight entry to the last 16, especially after a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This match offered a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second game in match.
A Shelbourne side that had concluded their league season were no match even for a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The Londoners were further depleted by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with knee injuries.

The match was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
