Salah Issues Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the team after the fallout from his recent interview.

He was omitted from a vital match following voicing frustrations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”
The head coach has previously declined to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
The midfielder also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I get that there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Team Form
The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. Jones believes the Salah's words were not intended to harm the team.
“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and securing victories.”
