Red Bull Reveals Significant 2026 Driver Line-Up: Hadjar Steps Up, Teenager Arvid Lindblad Earns Grand Prix Debut.

The Red Bull team has confirmed a major reshuffle for the 2026 Formula 1 season, elevating French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and handing British teenager Arvid Lindblad his debut F1 drive.
The young driver, who has a Swedish father and a mother of Indian descent, will be team-mate to Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the sister squad VCARB.
This reshuffling means Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive post a half-decade in F1.
Who is Arvid Lindblad?
Arvid Lindblad took part in first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix this year.
Lindblad has been identified as a potential future star by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old.
Discussing the team's junior academy, a senior Red Bull figure previously said that Lindblad "appears very talented", commending his "raw pace".
The team has been working for some time to ready Lindblad for his likely F1 debut in 2026, including runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City.
The rookie said it was a "huge honour", commenting: "2026 will be a big challenge, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm prepared to collaborate with the team and meet the challenge. I can't wait to get started."
Lindblad has taken two races in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
A Major Opportunity for Hadjar
Isack Hadjar celebrates his first podium in F1, secured at the Dutch Grand Prix in August.
Hadjar's F1 career began on a low note when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has been one of the most impressive rookies this season.
He featured an remarkable podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he lies in tenth place in the drivers' standings.
The team principal said: "Isack has shown great maturity and demonstrated to be a quick learner. Most importantly, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can succeed next to Max."
Hadjar described it "an incredible opportunity" and said he felt "ready".
The Lawson Decision
For the seat at the junior team, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda.
Lawson started 2025 with the main team but was moved back after just two races. He has found his form at Racing Bulls with notable results, convincing Red Bull he deserves more time.
Tsunoda, in contrast, loses his place after a difficult season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has accumulated a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship.
These announcements confirm that there remains no spot on the Red Bull programme for Irish driver Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
