An Australian man that leaped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and barred from Singapore.

The man, aged 26, was handed a penalty to nine days in prison for being a public nuisance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," the country's border control told local media.

The man shoved through camera crews and approached aggressively the celebrity, who was present at the Asian premier for Wicked: For Good on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

The individual has a record of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including rushing the stage at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The incident sparked outrage in Singapore, with several individuals accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.

The singer has mentioned suffering from PTSD after a terrorist bombing at her performance in the English city in spring of 2017 took the lives of 22 individuals and affected hundreds.

Throughout the court proceedings, the judge was informed he had made efforts to breach on the film's premiere twice, according to regional reports.

He then made a follow-up try to jump the barricades. Security staff stopped him and restrained him.

He then uploaded recordings appreciating the celebrity for permitting his access and said he was "free."

Law enforcement took him into custody the subsequent day and charged him with public nuisance, to which he confessed.

The Presiding Judge the judicial official was cited by a news outlet as saying that he was looking for publicity, commenting that he was mistaken to believe he would not experience repercussions.

Grande has not spoken about the case.

Cynthia Erivo discussed the situation to NBC, stating that she "just wanted to verify my co-star was safe."

"I think he didn't mean us injury, but you never know with such situations, and I aimed to confirm that she was alright. That was my immediate response," she stated.
