In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden sect.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
